Mockingbirds
Angelenos! The mockingbirds are back! You can hear them on the outskirts of downtown Los Angeles, singing their hearts out, with such a variety of song, some raucous, some melodic, to tell us they have a nest nearby.
They often sing from the top of street lights and seem to answer if you try to repeat their notes. Is it the absence of DDT that enabled them to return?
Would that we would get rid of all poisons polluting our precious Earth!
