Shamrock Holdings sold 42% of its Disney stock.

The Burbank-based company, privately owned by the Roy E. Disney family, sold 9,600 shares of Walt Disney Co. on the open market for $48 a share, reducing its Disney studio holdings to 13,104 shares as of May 31. The sale was disclosed in an SEC filing by Roy E. Disney, vice chairman of Walt Disney Co., who said he still controls 3.29 million shares, or 2.45%, of the company that his father co-founded.
