U.S. Trade Deficit $33.67 Billion

WASHINGTON — The United States suffered a $33.67-billion deficit in the broadest measure of international trade for the first three months of the year, close to the record set in the previous quarter, the government reported today.
The Commerce Department said the deficit in the country’s current account was a slight improvement over the record October-December deficit of $33.70 billion.
