A big cable-TV firm joined Cable Value Network.
American Television & Communications, the nation’s second-largest cable operator, said it had acquired an interest in Cable Value Network, a home shopping venture involving COMB, a Plymouth, Minn.-based merchandiser, and three other cable networks. Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed, although Englewood, Colo.-based American Television said it acquired an option to buy a 9% stake in COMB.
