British Train Jumps Tracks; 12 Injured

LONDON — A British Rail express train carrying about 300 people from Glasgow, Scotland, to London jumped the tracks Sunday in the Scottish city of Motherwell, injuring 12 passengers, a British Rail spokesman said.
Six of the nine cars of the train derailed in Motherwell, about 10 miles southeast of Glasgow. The cause of the derailment was under investigation, the spokesman said.
