Hit-Run Driver Kills Woman Crossing I-805 in San Ysidro

A 39-year-old woman was struck and killed on Interstate 805 Saturday night in a hit-and-run accident, California Highway Patrol officials reported.
Virginia Lopez-Villa, believed to be an illegal alien from Mexico, was hit while she was on the southbound lanes near Palm Avenue in San Ysidro about 10:50 p.m., coroner’s deputies said.
CHP officials, uncertain how many vehicles hit the victim, were investigating the accident.
