Valley Dodgers Win Two in Golden State Debut

The Valley Dodgers opened Golden State League play Saturday by sweeping the South Coast Metros, 12-6 and 6-0, in a doubleheader at Irvine. The Dodgers sent 15 men to the plate in a 10-run first inning in the opening game, and Darrin Beer pitched a three-hitter in the second game.
The teams finish a four-game series today in a doubleheader starting at noon at Cal State Northridge.
