Wow.

In the June 8 Calendar I found out in Outtakes how many times Tom Cruise grinned and smiled in his latest flick (the counter isn’t on your payroll, is he?).

I got to read a letter from a very successful TV writer/creator/whatever (Anthony Yerkovich) whining about the placement of a retraction.

And I learned that the formerly adorable, now plump, Oscar Mayer kid, worth a quarter-mill, wants to leave acting behind and pursue a career in professional baseball (with an assist from Mom), where the real money is (“The Oscar Meyer Kid,” by Gail Buchalter).

God, I love L.A.
