To your jaundiced so-called drama critic Dan Sullivan: Your review of “Me and My Girl” was grossly unfair (“ ‘Me and My Girl’ and Nostalgia,” June 5).
There hasn’t been a musical in recent memory to compare with it for sheer entertainment value. Los Angeles hasn’t seen such first-rate sets and costumes, not to mention a brand new star in Robert Lindsay, since probably “My Fair Lady.”
The show combines the best of English music hall with the best production facets of Broadway. We need musicals like this one to help save Broadway; I can only hope Sullivan’s grousing review does not hurt its chances to enthrall audiences in New York.
