Siddall Named New Baseball Coach at Los Amigos High
Bill Siddall has been named the new baseball coach at Los Amigos High School, school officials said Thursday. He replaces Bob Spence, who resigned in May.
Siddall, 40, was the freshman-sophomore coach at Los Amigos. He led that team to a 16-4 record and the Garden Grove League championship this season.
Dave Auxier, Los Amigos athletic director, said he received eight applications for the job, but decided on Siddall because, “I’ve already seen what he can do.
“I guess the other guys were at a disadvantage, because we know Bill really cares.â€
Siddall, who will be a walk-on coach, is a sergeant for the Inglewood Police Department.
“I’m really happy to get this position,†Siddall said. “I’m only losing a few seniors from this year’s team. I think we can build something here.â€
Los Amigos was 10-13 last season.
