If you didn’t guess Sly Stallone you missed the debut of “Biography,” the new United Features Syndicate Sunday comic strip that’s in nearly 100 newspapers (not ours).

Aimed at readers 13 to 17, the strip “will concentrate more on success stories than role models,” said a United spokeswoman. “We’re hoping it will encourage readers to strive to get to the top. And that they’ll pin it on their walls.”

Today’s subject: “The female music sensation of the ‘80s,” Madonna. Next week: Don Johnson. Upcoming: Clint Eastwood, Bruce Springsteen, Eddie Murphy, Tina Turner, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Pee-wee Herman, Michael J. Fox and sports figures like Larry Bird, Moses Malone and Pete Rose.

The strip (by John Roman) is strictly upbeat--with no mention of Sly’s soft-core porn outing, Madonna’s nudie photos, Tina’s alleged troubles with Ike or. . . .
