SCC Pitcher Tim Fortugno Signs With Mariners

Southern California College pitcher Tim Fortugno has signed a free-agent contract with the Seattle Mariners and will report to the club’s Class A-Rookie team in Bellingham, Wash.
Fortugno, a left-hander, compiled a 9-2 record for the Vanguards and struck out 153 batters in 92 innings. He was named to the NAIA All-America second team.
