Chapman Signs Torrell, Cutliff; 2 Players Drafted
Chapman College signed two baseball players to letters of intent Wednesday, after learning that two current players had been drafted by major league teams.
Senior pitcher Rob Glisson, a Pacifica High School graduate who was 8-5 at Chapman, was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals. Junior shortstop Rob Wolkoys, who hit .322 this season, was drafted by the Kansas City Royals.
Chapman signed Wes Torrell of Newport Harbor, a catcher and first baseman who hit .370 this season. Torrell also played basketball in high school. Chapman also signed Chris Cutliff, a shortstop from Foothill who hit .340.
