NEW YORK — Flatterer, America’s champion steeplechase horse the past three years, will start in the French Hurdle Championship at Auteuil Race Course in France June 27.
The 7-year-old gelding has won 14-of-18 starts since turning to jump-racing in 1983. That year he became the United States’ only steeplechase triple crown winner, capturing the Grand National, Temple Gwathmey and Colonial Cup.
