Kanroji Signs to Play Tennis for UC Irvine

Shigefusa Kanroji, who went undefeated as the No. 1 singles player at Menlo Atherton High School, has signed a letter of intent to attend UC Irvine.

Kanroji was a finalist in the 1985 Orange Bowl World Junior Doubles Championships and was ranked No. 73 in the 1985 U.S. Tennis Assn. boys’ 18-and-under division. Kanroji also won the 1984 Northern California Tennis Assn.’s sportsmanship award.
