Fallbrook Man Booked in Slaying of Wife
FALLBROOK — San Diego County sheriff’s deputies have booked a 20-year-old Fallbrook laborer into County Jail in Vista on suspicion of murder in the death of his wife, whose partly clothed body was found Thursday in a citrus grove south of Fallbrook.
Eduardo Enriquez was arrested late Thursday and was being held without bail, according to Lt. Bill Baxter of the sheriff’s homicide unit.
His wife, Stephanie Diane Enriquez, 20, was reported missing early in the week by her mother. A farm worker found the body in a shallow grave in a citrus grove near Sunnycrest Lane and Winter Haven Road.
She was stabbed in the left shoulder, severing a pulmonary artery, according to an autopsy done by the San Diego County coroner’s office.
