Compri Hotel Plans Opening
A grand opening is planned on Thursday by Compri Hotel Systems Inc. for its flagship property in Southern California, the Compri Hotel at Hutton Centre in Santa Ana/Newport Beach.
The Compri concept was introduced in 1984 by hotelier Doubletree Inc. as its entry to the mid-priced hotel market. The hotels are designed for the frequent business traveler with a focus on high quality with less frills.
Developers are reportedly attracted to Compri projects because they are less costly to build and to run than upscale facilities. At present there are Compri hotels in West Denver, Boise and Pleasanton, California.
The Ontario Airport Compri opens on June 26, and others are being developed in San Pedro and El Segundo.
