Wyle Laboratories, the El Segundo-based semiconductor distributor, saw a significant increase in first-quarter income.Sales during the period were up 5% to $68.3 million. The company said earnings, excluding extraordinary gains, rose 59%; net income, including a $895,000 gain on the sale of land, was $1.6 million, up from $505,000 in the same period a year ago.
