Ralphs Grocery Co., Compton, said it made the following appointments: Jan Charles Gray, senior vice president and general counsel of external affairs; Jim Warren, group vice president of distribution; Doug Smith, vice president-engineering and construction; Bob Davis, vice president-manufacturing; Jim Lee, assistant vice president-store operations administration. Ralphs also made the following promotions: Ken Silver, director of facility manufacturing; Tom Loggia, director of distribution; Jim O’Day, director of distribution of dairy meat and frozen foods; Leon Sims, director of distribution-produce; Bob Crosslin, director of automotive maintenance; Dave Calvert, director of engineering, manufacturing and warehousing, and Jim Fessler, director of construction.
