3-SCREEN THEATER TO REOPEN MAY 23

Cineplex Odeon’s Fairfax Cinemas, refurbished at an estimated cost of $1.5 million, will open May 23 at 7907 Beverly Blvd.
A spokesman said the theaters will offer wide-screen presentations in each auditorium. The number of seats has been reduced from 1,050 to 950 so the theaters will have wider aisles and more foot space, the spokesman added.
The first theater will carry a 70-millimeter Dolby Stereo system and the other two auditoriums will have 35-millimeter systems.
