Queen’s Cousin, Wife Planning to Divorce

LONDON — Queen Elizabeth’s first cousin, society photographer Patrick Lichfield, and his estranged wife, Leonora, plan to seek a divorce, the Countess of Lichfield confirmed today, calling it “very distressing.â€
It is only the sixth divorce involving the British Royal Family since 1900 but the fifth in the last 19 years. Lichfield, 47, and his wife, 37, were married in 1975 and have three children.
