Yoga at YMCA

I was very surprised to find that the YMCA, all over Southern California and indeed the nation, conducts classes in yoga.

Webster defines yoga as a concentration, “especially� upon the Hindu god. A Hindu god is quite the contrary to the Christian god and is a philosophy opposed by the Christian religion. A telephone survey among YMCAs showed that not only did they not know this, but they did not seem to care.

I have only one observation to make of the Young Men’s Christian Assn.: You’ve come a long way, baby.
