The reward for information leading to the killer of a 6-year-old Agoura boy increased to $27,000 Tuesday as the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors voted to contribute to the fund.

Supervisors voted unanimously to add $20,000 to the reward, which was launched by Agoura residents a week after Miguel Antero was found stabbed to death near a Triunfo Canyon religious retreat.

The first-grader’s body was found April 8 in a ravine, 7 1/2 hours after he was seen stepping off a school bus. Investigators said the boy died of multiple stab wounds.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies Tuesday said they have no suspects.

“To date, extensive round-the-clock investigation by the Sheriff’s Department has failed to identify the killer or killers,” said Supervisor Mike Antonovich, who requested the reward. “Every means available should be taken to identify his killer.”

The reward was established by the 35-member Shanti Anatam, the religious compound where the boy lived with his family.
