ITT Gets $106.5-Million Extension on Navy Pact
ITT said its Van Nuys division received a $106.5-million contract that will extend its building of shipboard radar systems for the Navy.
A company spokesman said the contract for the ITT Gilfillan unit is not expected to affect employment. The division has about 2,000 employees in Van Nuys and 250 in San Fernando.
Deliveries under the new contract are scheduled to begin in December, 1987, and run through November, 1988. Under a previous contract, ITT Gilfillan began making the equipment about two years ago.
