Alidad Farmanfarma resigned as president and chief executive of Northridge-based I-SYS Technology to return home to Switzerland for what the company termed personal reasons. He will be replaced by Daniel Alef, a founder of the company.

Edward Korbel, president and chief executive of Thermacor Technology, was named chairman of I-SYS. He replaces Fery Aalam, former president of Chatsworth-based Key Images, which has a 42% stake in I-SYS.

Investor Bernard W. Holmbraker was named to the company’s board. I-SYS makes so-called optical readers that put information into word processing machines.
