Paean to Al Martinez

You are impelled to write a paean to Al Martinez (a.k.a. Elmer Teenez). The man is great--not good, great.

We clip and mail his column to one of our kids at least once a week. He is our common bond at the breakfast table. Usually it’s Sports for Bob, View for Jeanne, and with luck, a few exchanged words. But on Al’s day we actually converse--share--it’s thrilling!

Don’t let him get away. Give him a raise, if necessary. We’re sincere.
