Dana Hills’ Alarcon to Take 3-Year Leave

Augusto Alarcon, soccer coach at Dana Hills High School for the past eight years, is taking a three-year leave of absence to attend medical school in Guadalajara, Mexico, Athletic Director John Klink said Friday.

Alarcon, twice named the South Coast League’s Coach of the Year, has led the Dolphins to five straight league championships and six CIF Southern Section playoff appearances. Dana Hills went 94-23-20 in eight years under Alarcon and reached the 3-A semifinals in 1985.
