SDSU Loses Softball Doubleheader to UNLV
SAN DIEGO — The San Diego State softball team managed only three hits in a Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. doubleheader Thursday, as the University of Nevada Las Vegas downed the Aztecs, 2-1 and 7-3.
In the opener, UNLV’s Karen Carlson (10-12) tossed a one-hitter to earn the win. SDSU’s Lisa Michie (9-14), who allowed three hits, took the loss for the Aztecs.
In the second game, UNLV pitcher Derinda Brunk threw a two-hitter for the complete-game victory. The Aztecs committed eight errors in the game.
SDSU falls to 4-13 in the PCAA and 17-27 overall.
