Reaction to U.S. Bombing Raid on Libya

I see our Congress is again sticking its head in the sand. The lawmakers have given the President an even broader right to act without their consent. His senseless bombing of targets in Libya is a good example of the results.

Now Congress can follow its age-long practice. If what the President does works, the members can strut around and say, “look what we did.” If it doesn’t work, they can say “He did it--we didn’t have anything to do with it!”

What good is it to have representatives housed in Washington, who are supposed to be our guardians of peace, if they haven’t the guts to make the decisions required to assure that peace?
