Lone Gunman Robs S&L; in Newport Beach
A lone gunman held up the Fullerton Savings & Loan Assn. in Newport Beach Thursday and escaped with $870 in cash, police reported.
Officers said the man pulled a gun on the teller at about 12:10 p.m. in the savings and loan at 2523 Eastbluff Drive and escaped on foot.
He was described as Caucasian, in his late 30s, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighing about 165 pounds. He was wearing glasses and what police described as a “motoring cap.”
