A judge refused to delay Stater’s annual meeting.
Delaware Chancery Court Vice Chancellor Carolyn Berger invalidated a March shareholders meeting held by a shareholder group led by ousted President Jack H. Brown and ruled that Stater Bros.’ annual meeting take place April 28. Stater Bros. had sought to postpone the meeting to May 28. Groups led by Brown and Stater Chairman Bernard Garrett have each nominated three people to be elected directors at the meeting.
