A suit was dismissed against Stater’s ousted chief.
U.S. District Judge Stephen V. Wilson dismissed a suit filed by Stater Bros. against ousted President Jack H. Brown charging that he manipulated earnings so he could buy stock at low prices. But a Stater lawyer said the legal battle isn’t over, adding that the charges were dismissed on technical grounds and that Stater will amend its suit within 15 days.
