Home Sales Up in San Diego
Sales at 20 subdivisions in San Diego County during the first quarter of 1986 increased 136% over the final quarter of last year and the total of visitors was up 42%, according to the firm of Developers Marketing Associates.
“The first-time home buyer category has been one of the strongest during the first three months of 1986,” Marvin Hoiseth, vice president of sales, said. He added that there also is a strong market among move-up buyers, those who can afford a home in the $150,000-and-over range.
Hoiseth also said that in the 20 tracts whose sales operations are staffed by his firm, there were 4,068 visitors and 77 sales in the October-December quarter of 1985, but 6,550 visitors and 182 sales in the January-March period this year.
