Honeywell Inc. of Minneapolis said that its first-quarter net income plunged 43%. It attributed the decline to continued weakness in U.S. computer markets. Information Systems orders, revenue and operating profit were less than last year, although international computer business results were up. Operating profit for Control Products also declined, reflecting weakness in industrial components markets.
