DRIVE-TIME RADIO

When I saw Calendar’s survey of local afternoon drive-time radio (“Radio in the Afternoon,” by Dennis McDougal et al., April 6), I hoped for an intelligent, insightful survey of the wide variety of stations in the L.A. Basin. What I got was a bunch of glib, superficial fluff.

It’s annoying when one goes to the paper for information and finds instead writers too obsessed with being “cute” and “witty” to even take their subject seriously. Perhaps there’s no accounting for taste, but at least entertainment reviews should contain some substance.
