HONEYMOON IN HEAVEN
Rumor reached us that Debra Winger wasn’t just honeymooning with Tim Hutton on the South Carolina set of Alan Rudolph’s “Made in Heaven”--but that she also did a cameo . . . as God.
Denials came swiftly. Her PR person denied it: “She (Debra) said she wouldn’t dream of playing God. She said she was perfectly happy being a set wife.”
The unit publicist said Winger watched Hutton work and looked at dailies with him--”They’re newlyweds, they just wanted to be together.”
The film is “an eternal love story,” with Hutton and Kelly McGillis falling in love in Heaven. When each gets reborn--and separated on Earth--Hutton goes on a search for his true love.
