Walker, Erbst, Thomas Will Lead North All-Star Team

Front-line players Kevin Walker of Brea-Olinda, Bob Erbst of Katella and Stuart Thomas of Mater Dei head the selections for the North team in the Orange County All-Star basketball game at 7:30 p.m. on June 21 in Orange Coast College’s Peterson Gym.

All three players have signed national letters of intent to compete in the Pacific 10 Conference next season. Walker, a 6-foot 10-inch center, will play at UCLA. Erbst, a 6-9 forward, will play at USC, and Thomas, 6-9, will attend Stanford.

Mater Dei, which won the CIF Southern Section 5-A title, placed two players on the team, with point guard Tom Peabody joining Thomas on the 12-man squad. Ray Rodriguez, 10-year veteran at Valencia, will coach the team.
