Fashion Tips for Club-Hopping Cowboys

It’s a little bit country and a little bit rock ‘n’ roll.
Silver collar tips, long a fashion item on the range, have become a hit with city folk. The trendiest of clubgoers are now sporting a modified Wild West look with their favorite hip shirt and jacket.
“You put them on with a bolo tie. It gives it a cowboy effect. It’s a good touch,” said Connie Higgins, 23, a bartender at the fashionable La Frite restaurant in Encino.
“Young people want the Western style,” said Marcia Israel, president of Judy’s and GHQ for Men stores, which sell the pointed fashion accessories.
Of course, you can also find collar tips at any Western store--more traditional but a little less chic. Prices range from $10 for a standard pair to $25 for a turquoise-studded set to $65 for gold-plated tips.
Don’t be seen at the roundup without them.
