San Gabriel : Architectural Firm Chosen

The Los Angeles architectural firm of DeBretteville Polyzoides has been selected by the San Gabriel City Council to remodel the Adult Center, and will begin four months of planning to determine what type of modifications can be made under state regulations on the historic building.
City Administrator Robert D. Clute said local plans call for the addition of one section and the expansion of existing rooms to increase the building’s capacity, but it is not known what changes will be permitted.
The contract with DeBretteville Polyzoides, which specializes in remodeling historic structures, specifies that planning costs should not exceed $5,000, approximately 12% of the total remodeling cost.
