Stacey Augmon of Pasadena Muir High School scored three baskets in the final 3:11 of play as the South All-Stars held off the North, 96-94, in the 22nd annual Roundball basketball game at Pittsburgh.
The East All-Stars got 21 points from St. John’s recruit Elander Lewis and withstood 15 fourth-period points by Philadelphia prep star Ivan Brown to beat Pennsylvania, 98-96, in the other game.
The 6-foot-8 Augmon, who is being recruited by Kansas and Syracuse, hit a six-footer in the lane after a behind-the-back dribble to give the South an 88-85 lead with 3:11 to play. Augmon later hit consecutive 15-footers to make it 96-88 with 28 seconds left.
Augmon scored 13 points, Stephen Thompson of Crenshaw added 11 and Scott Williams of Hacienda Heights Wilson had 10.
