Clippers Sign a Center, Face Utah Tonight
The Clippers, who will play tonight at Utah, have signed Ozell Jones, former Cal State Fullerton center, for the final eight games of the season.
Jones, 6 feet 11 inches and 235 pounds, has been playing in Italy. Jones played for San Antonio last season but was released by the Spurs the day before the season started.
To make room for Jones, the Clippers placed guard Junior Bridgeman on the injured list. Bridgeman tore a ligament in his right thumb March 3 and has not returned.
The Clippers have won two straight games, improving their record to 28-47. They will play host to the Utah Jazz at the Sports Arena Wednesday night.
