NEW YORK — Stock prices fell back amid a wave of profit-taking on the New York Stock Exchange today.
The Dow Jones average of 30 industrials closed down 28.50 at 1,790.11.
New York Stock Exchange volume was about 167.39 million shares compared with 134.44 million shares Monday.
