C. Stan Stout, 46, of Yorba Linda, formerly a vice president at the brokerage firm of Paine Webber Jackson & Curtis, has been named president of the Newport Beach investment banking firm of Cruttenden & Co., said Walter Cruttenden III, who relinquished his title as president and took on the position of chairman and president of newly formed Cruttenden Holdings.
Cruttenden also said that Anthony C. Hass, 29, of Los Angeles, formerly with the American Express Co. brokerage division of Shearson Lehman Brothers, has been hired for the newly created post of director of research at Cruttenden & Co.
Cruttenden, 35, of Newport Beach, retains the title and duties of chief executive officer for the subsidiary. Stout will oversee the company’s retail brokerage and trading activities. Hass will oversee investment research activities, primarily public and private electronics and biomedical companies in Orange County.
