NCAA Swimming : Stanford Sets Medley Record

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — A United States and NCAA record in the women’s 200-yard medley relay was set by Stanford on Thursday at the NCAA women’s swimming and diving championships at the University of Arkansas.
The team of Jennifer Pokluda, Kathy Smith, Jenna Johnson and Diana Zock completed the event in 1 minute 40.22 seconds.
Stanford’s Johnson also broke the American and NCAA records in the 100-yard butterfly, swimming it in :52.69. Betsy Mitchell of Texas set an NCAA record of 1:57.26 in the 200-yard backstroke.
