70-Year-Old N. Hollywood Man Gets 12 Years for Molestation
A 70-year-old North Hollywood man, convicted of sexually molesting his neighbor’s 9-year-old daughter on overnight trips, was sentenced Thursday to 12 years in state prison.
In imposing the sentence on Wallace Woodrow Fisher, San Ferando Superior Court Judge Howard J. Schwab described him as a “wolf in lamb’s clothing†who abused his position of trust with the victim and her mother.
“The only thing you can do to a wolf is to incarcerate the wolf,†Schwab said.
Fisher, a retired Lockheed employee who often gave candy to neighborhood children, who called him “Uncle Wally,†was convicted Feb. 5 of five counts of child molestation. Testimony revealed that the victim’s mother, who often works on nights and weekends, frequently allowed him to baby-sit her daughter and take her on out-of-state trips.
Testimony Cites Threat
The girl testified that Fisher molested her on the trips and warned her, “If you tell anyone, I’ll kill your mother.â€
A probation report said that Fisher denied molesting the girl and that he alleged that she made up the accusations because “she does not like to be supervised.â€
Police officers who searched Fisher’s apartment found 3,000 to 4,000 pictures of nude girls, some of his granddaughter, the report said.
