USC Winds Up Dismal Season at Corvallis

USC will wind up its losing basketball season against Oregon State today (Channel 2, 3 p.m.) at Corvallis, Ore.
The Trojans, who have secured a place in the Pacific 10 cellar with a 4-13 record (10-17 overall), are winless in eight conference road games this season.
USC’s most recent loss was to Oregon, 76-63, Thursday night at Eugene, Ore. The Trojans shot only 41.4% in that game, the Ducks 65.9%.
Oregon State has also fallen on hard times. The Beavers (8-9 and 12-14) are assured of their first losing season since Coach Ralph Miller’s first season at the school in 1970-71.
