The time is the present. The place is an American community, with the usual problems of taxes, economic growth, suburban expansion. Then the unthinkable happens--there’s a chemical spill at a nearby chemical plant, and the city’s plans for such an accident are sadly outdated.
That’s the basis for “Acceptable Risks,” ABC’s Sunday-night movie (9-11 p.m. on Channels 7, 3, 10, 42). In the cast are Brian Dennehy (on the cover), Cicely Tyson, Kenneth McMillan, Christine Ebersole, Beah Richards and Richard Gilliland.
