A bus driver for the Orange Unified School District, her husband and their daughter were arrested at their home in Orange on Friday on suspicion of possessing $1 million worth of cocaine, police said.
Detectives who had gone to the home with a search warrant said that they found two kilograms of cocaine in a gym bag in the family’s 1982 Porsche convertible.
Police said a brief standoff preceded the arrests when the man reportedly pointed a revolver across a hallway at an officer, but no shots were fired.
Robert J. Graham, 43, was arrested on suspicion of possessing cocaine for sale and felony assault on a police officer. His wife, Judith A. Graham, 43, and their daughter, Lori A. Graham, 19, were arrested on suspicion of possessing cocaine for sale. Several weapons and eight ounces of hashish oil--a concentrated form of marijuana--also were seized from the family’s home on Milford Street, police said.
The family was booked into the Fullerton Jail, Sgt. Mike Vice said. Police said Robert Graham, an unemployed construction worker on disability, was held on $500,000 bail. Judith Graham, the bus driver, was held on $250,000 bail. Bail for Lori Graham, a continuation school student, was set at $25,000, police said. They remained in custody late Friday.
The arrests concluded a two-week investigation by Fullerton police, who reportedly had received information that Robert Graham was selling cocaine in that city.
