Lakers Scott, Kupchak May Play Tonight
DALLAS — Coach Pat Riley called off practice Tuesday. So, instead, injured Lakers Byron Scott and Mitch Kupchak received treatment for their ailments. One or both of them could be ready to play in tonight’s game against the Dallas Mavericks.
Scott, who has a sprained right ankle, and Kupchak, who has a twisted left knee, won’t know if they can play until they warm up before the game in Reunion Arena.
James Worthy will miss his third consecutive game because of a groin injury he received in the first game of the trip.
The Lakers, 2-2 on this trip, finish their 10-day trek against a Dallas team they have already beaten three times this season and seven straight times over two seasons.
Dallas has lost its last four games. The Mavericks are 29-27.
