The Region : $3.3-Million Winner Says ‘God Did It’

A South Gate liquor store clerk has credited God for the $3.3 million jackpot he won in the latest California State Lottery grand prize drawing. “I feel great. I feel beautiful. I’ve never felt better. I thank God. He’s the one who really did it,” said Anthony Columbus, 46, shortly after winning the jackpot during the “Big Spin” drawing in Sacramento. Asked what he planned to do with the money, Columbus said, “I’m going to buy a Corvette.” Columbus, a divorced father of two, said he also planned to use his winnings to take care of his mother and children.
